Folk Alliance International's 2026 conference was a resounding success in New Orleans, drawing 2,628 attendees from 39 countries to experience over 2,500 performances. The conference featured a keynote conversation with New Orleans' own Big Freedia and Tarriona "Tank" Ball, as well as numerous showcases and panelists by Louisiana artists and industry professionals, respectvely.

"Our partnership with the Louisiana Office of Cultural Development proved invaluable, providing an unparalleled platform to showcase the rich music and talent of Louisiana. The energy and spirit of New Orleans made such a lasting impression that we are thrilled to return the conference to the city in both 2030 and 2032," said Jennifer Roe, Executive Director of Folk Alliance International.
